David Harbour plays Millie Bobby Brown’s character's dad on the super popular Netflix show Stranger Things. But get this: a new report says their work relationship wasn't all sunshine and roses. According to The Mail onSunday, Brown, who plays Eleven, said Harbour (Jim Hopper) harassed and bullied her. She complained, and there was some kind of investigation inside the company. The Mail says it wasn't about anything sexual.
A source told the newspaper, Millie Bobby Brown made a
harassment and bullying claim before they started filming the last season.
There were tons of accusations. The investigation lasted for months. The source
continued, Netflix won't comment on internal stuff, but the fact that they
aren't denying it is pretty telling. Stranger Things is a huge deal for
Netflix. Everyone's waiting for the end. They don't want anything messing that
up.
The Mail says Brown even had someone with her on set during
the final season's filming. The first part of that season hits Netflix on
November 26. Page Six says reps for Brown, Harbour, and Netflix haven't said
anything when asked. Harbour's already been in the news lately because his
estranged wife, Lily Allen, put out her fifth album, West End Girl, on October
24. She sings about a relationship falling apart because of cheating. Given her
real split with Harbour, a lot of people think the songs are about him.
Allen told The Sunday Times that some of the album is based
on what she went through. It's not all true, of course, she said. But yeah,
some things from my relationship are definitely on there. Back in 2018, Harbour
said he was worried about Brown dealing with fame so young. I try to protect
her as much as I can, he told People.
Stranger Things,
Season 5 Volume 1 comes out Wednesday, November 26, on Netflix.
