After attaining her bachelor's degree in hospitality and
tourism management from Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus in 2022,
Charlotte intended to be a fly attendant. However, she was persuaded by her
friend Suphatra Kliangprom, who was crowned Miss Tourism International
2022/2023, to participate in the Miss Grand Thailand 2022 contest alongside
her.
Early Career
Beauty Pageant Journey
Charlotte began her journey into the beauty circuit in 2017
with 'Miss Supranational Phuket,' her premiere experience in the world of
beauty pageants. She placed 1st runner-up in the Miss Grand Phuket competition
in 2022, where she lost to childhood friend Heidi Amanda Jensen. She continued
her journey and took part in Miss Grand Chumphon 2022, winning that
competition, thus earning the right to represent Chumphon in Miss Grand
Thailand 2022. She made it to an impressive 5th runner-up in the national
competition and has remained a huge representative for the organization ever
since.
Acting
In 2023, Charlotte went into acting with her series debut
alongside Engfa Waraha in the GrandTV series "Show Me Love - The
Series", helmed by Thanamin Wongskulphat and Bandit Sintanaparadee. This
romantic miniseries quickly became a hit and further established Charlotte's
popularity as an entertainer.
Charlotte also appeared as a love interest in other music
videos.
In upcoming projects, Charlotte Austin will play the main
character alongside Suppasit Jongcheveevat|Mew Suppasit in the 2024 remaking of
the classic Thai "Mon Rak Luk Thung."
Personal Life
Charlotte was born to a Thai mother and a British father and
was raised primarily by her father due to her mother's work obligations abroad.
She has three elder half-brothers. Her father was initially a soldier based in
Thailand before becoming an English teacher based in Phuket. Austin worked as a
freelance model in Phuket, also able to support her study through waitressing
at touristy places and restaurants.
