India Women vs. South Africa Women: ODI Head-to-Head Stats

Get ready for a big finish as India Women play South Africa Women for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 title on November 2 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. The game starts at 3:00 PM (IST). Both teams are trying to win their first world title.

How India is Doing

India's been tough under pressure. They had ups and downs in the group stage, winning three of seven games, and one was rained out. They lost close ones to Australia, England, and South Africa, but they really showed up in the semi-final. There, India had an awesome chase against Australia, getting past 339 with five wickets left and nine balls to spare. That ended the defending champs’ 15-game winning streak.

India started strong in the tour before they had a close 3-wicket loss to South Africa, another 3-wicket loss to Australia, and a tough 4-run loss to England. The last league game against Bangladesh was rained out, which stopped things, but not their spirit.

Still, India has a good mix of young talent and experienced leaders, which makes them hard to beat, especially at home. They are sure of themself after winning the semifinal.

How South Africa is Doing

This is South Africa's first-ever Women’s ODI World Cup final. They've played very well this tour, winning five of seven league games. They beat England by 125 runs in the semi-final.

They started with a loss to England but quickly won against New Zealand. They also won against India in a tight game. They kept winning against Bangladesh and they also sealed a 10-wicket triumph against Sri Lanka.

They also secured a 150-run win against Pakistan during short game, but Australia won against them with a 7-wicket victory. But when it counted, South Africa played great and beat England to make history.
